How to Make Colour Preparation For Textile Dyeing Woven Fabric

What is Dyeing

It is defined as the single or mixes the color with the uniform coloration of the whole fabric is known as Dyeing.

Colour Preparation for Fabric

The dye stock is first prepared from the lap dip (target sample) provided by the Pilot Plant, and then the necessary additions are made in the tank area so as to obtain that shade in bulk.

All the additions are made in the dye stock tank itself.

The stock solution is prepared using a formula:-Stock solution volume in liters = (GLM*total length*0.65 /1000+ 30)

Where,

GLM — grams per linear meter of the fabric.

0.65 = Pick up % of fabric

30 = line loses

The dye stock of any dye that is to be carried out in pad dry is made in the tank area of the color kitchen. The solution for a particular shade is prepared in any one of the several tanks placed in the tank area.

These tanks are of varying capacities and are fitted with stirrers, levelers and pipelines of hot and cold water.

The weighed dyes are first dissolved in hot water in a bucket. The dissolved solution is then added to the tank and cold water is added to make up the complete volume.

Constant stirring is done to make a homogenous solution.

Special care is taken in the case of light shades, which are to be run after a dark shade so as to prevent staining.

The cotton and P/C blends are dyed with the following dyes:-

        1. VAT dyes for 100% Cotton fabric,
        2. Reactive dyes for 100% Cotton fabric,
        3. Disperse/VAT dye combinations for P/C blends,
        4. Reactive/Disperse dye combinations for P/C blends.
