Job description
Supplier quality assurance Technical Knowledges and Responsibilities :
1 Must have technical knowledge and expertise to develop end to end process control plan to meet goals of product quality
2 Must have knowledge of different types of yarn i.e. Cotton, polyester, nylon, rayon, acrylic wool etc.
3 Understanding of quality requirements of weaving and yarn to achieve customer specific requirements
4 Must be able to guide and train subordinates for prevention of defects at any stage of production
5 Must have understanding on restricted chemicals, required testing
6 Understanding of certification requirements of Oekotex, GRS, GOTS etc.
7 Exposure on sustainability requirements and compliances.
New Product Development and Quality assurance:
1 Must do advance Product Quality Planning and quality risk assessment as per customer specifications
2 In-depth assessment of product specific requirement and assure process accordingly by total involvement
3 Assertive role on quality in yarn dyeing, weaving, printing and pre-dispatch assurance to achieve zero defect at customer end
4 Monitoring, Analysis of Rejections/Wastage during production at various stages.
5 Review of Process for necessary changes for eliminating defect phenomenon
6 Supplier quality assurance – Initial education on requirements, sample approvals, continual quality improvements
Quality analysis, process improvements and defect reduction:
1 Keeping track of quality performance of all processes, quality analysis and develop quality improvement plans
2 Defect reduction by employee involvement and process controls
3 leading phased execution of cost of poor quality along with cross-functional team
Brand/Customer specific satisfaction on their requirements:
1 Lead on execution of brand / customer specific requirements in all areas of value chain
2 Learn by initial involvement at sampling stage on application and testing protocols for quality planning for meeting needs
3 Develop overall product and process related learning in process controls to avoid recurrence of similar failures.
Supplier quality assurance:
1 Supplier quality assurance – selection, education and sample approval as well as routine product quality approvals
2 Process quality, rejection control and debits to suppliers, if applicable
Transformation towards Quality oriented culture based on process approach:
1 Building strong Quality team along with focus on education and development of process capability and 24*7 compliance
2 Focus on learning and non-recurrence of quality failures by involving all cross-functional team-members at each stage
3 Promoting Quality Kaizens in cross-functional team
4 Promoting Training on different levels for achieve high quality orientation in work of all employees
Brand / Customer communication on Quality performance and complaints or proactive clarifications:
1 Lead on time-bound response to brands/customers by keeping all records and satisfactory complaint resolution
2 Zero debits on quality issues and proactive compliance
3 Establish high levels of customer satisfaction by leading on understanding and meeting customer requirements.
